The Drivers Dashboard gives drivers access to the application to enter returns, view and download route sheets and make delivery sequence updates on their own.
When a driver accesses the application, the only page available to them is the Driver Dashboard. This is what a driver will see if they click on the Main menu:
All non-Driver users with access to the Driver Dashboard will have the ability to choose a Driver from a drop down menu in order to see exactly what a Driver would see:
A Driver user will not see the Current Driver drop down menu, only the Route and Draw Date drop down menus:
Driver Dashboard Instructions
The following are instructions on how to use the features on the Driver Dashboard. At the bottom of the page is a downloadable PDF of these instructions that can be shared with drivers.
Returns Entry
Select the route you want to enter the return data for by selecting the route from the drop down menu:
Select the Draw Date for the Issue of the returned edition.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You need to select the date for the edition that was picked up as returns, not the current delivery date:
Filter out “No Returns” locations:
No Returns means there are no returns collected at a location. It does not mean a location had zero returns. If a location had zero returns (sold out), zero needs to be entered.
If you wish to filter out the locations with “No Returns” before entering the return data, select the filter icon ( ) beside the No Returns header at the top of the table (
) .
Select is false and click the Filter button:
Click in the Returns field of the first row on the list. This will activate the edit feature for the field.
Enter in the return number for that record and hit the Tab key on your keyboard to jump to the next record on the list.
Once you have entered all returns for that route, click the Save changes button () just above the table header to save the entries.
Get Route Sheets
Select the Get Route Sheets button () to view the current route sheet.
There are two different types of route sheets that you can select. A basic route sheet () and one that has additional rack info on it (
).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure the correct draw date is showing on the route sheet. If the expected draw date is not there, the route sheets have not yet been created for that date. Check back again later.
Whenever you change a selection in either the Draw Date drop down or Routes drop down menus at the top of the report, you need to click the View Report button () to refresh the data on the report itself.
To export the Report, click on the Export Menu button () and select the format you wish to export the report too.
If you have multiple routes selected from the drop down menu, all routes will be downloaded. As a PDF, it will be one file, with one route after the other. In excel (spreadsheet), each route will be on its own workbook within the excel file.
Edit Delivery Sequence
If you need to make any sequence changes to a route, select the Edit Delivery Sequence button ().
Click in the Delivery Seq field of the first row on the list. This will activate the edit feature for the field.
Enter in the new sequence number for that record and hit the Tab key on your keyboard to jump to the next record on the list.
Once you have entered all the new sequence numbers for that route, click the Save changes button () just above the table header to save the entries.
NOTE: The updated sequences will appear on the route list for the next edition date, once it has been created.
